It is my belief that history is a wheel. ‘Inconstancy is my very essence,’ says the wheel. ‘Rise up on my spokes if you like, but don’t complain when you are cast back down into the depths.’ Good times pass away, but then so do the bad. Mutability is our tragedy, but it is also our hope. The worst of times, like the best, are always passing away.

- Boethius, The Consolation of Philosophy

Comment policy

Your name and e-mail address are required. We don’t like graffiti any more than the next guy. To guard you against spamming, the e-mail address will not be displayed and will not be disclosed to anybody. If you have your own website, a link will be made there.

Zen Road makes extensive use of Markdown syntax to format the content of its articles and blog entries. If you want to apply any formatting to your comments, here are some examples:

  • write flowing text normally, not paying attention to the window border, like when writing an e-mail. If you want to force a new paragraph, separate it with a blank line
  • use asterisks (*) before and after a word to add *emphasis* or to make it **boldface**

More detailed (and complicated!) formatting examples can be found at the Markdown link.
