the zen road team

Developing a website like this requires a lot of work, takes more time than you would expect and makes demands for more skills than any one person is likely to have.

Luckily there are many supporters of the site who collectively have the required skills, are willing to devote the necessary time and are not shy of the work it might entail.

Here you can see them all taking a well earned, if cold break, at the February 2005 Sesshin Sans Demeure at Gorenzen in the Harz Mountains of Germany.

The skills we bring are: photography, typing, web development, translating, editing, journalism, an ability to get other people to lend a helping hand and, most of all, the willingness to try out a new way of communicating Zen.

We are:

Lana Berrington, Juliette Heymann, Elaine Konopka, Florence Avenel
[Closeup of three of the five men in the team]
Jean-Pierre Romain, Thomas Bürger, Konstantin Schikarski

Jonas Endres, Paul Buller

Many other friends in both France and Germany have helped by giving us their advice and feedback on what they have seen so far.

Your name and e-mail address are required. We don’t like graffiti any more than the next guy. To guard you against spamming, the e-mail address will not be displayed and will not be disclosed to anybody. If you have your own website, a link will be made there.

Zen Road makes extensive use of Markdown syntax to format the content of its articles and blog entries. If you want to apply any formatting to your comments, here are some examples:

  • write flowing text normally, not paying attention to the window border, like when writing an e-mail. If you want to force a new paragraph, separate it with a blank line
  • use asterisks (*) before and after a word to add *emphasis* or to make it **boldface**

More detailed (and complicated!) formatting examples can be found at the Markdown link.
